It's not a he Jez !! I had an email from the Echo yesterday saying they didn't have room for the Southend Triathlon this week but they were doing my very nice piece on Keiron! Sorry Jez looks like 3rd in the triathlon just isn't as glamorous as Keiron's race reporting. Give me exciting copy to work with Jez and the Echo stage is yours! And a sexy photo helps...I hear Bobby might have one... :blackeye:
Of course my next journalistic target is Mike Briggs...seem to remember he did quite well at the Crown to Crown??? |

Max Clifford sends his regards Jez. Well I like to spread the honours about - even if you can only manage 3rd places in races - don't know how you can live with the shame Jez. You should get a copy of the paper Jez they even printed the photo I sent up where you look ready to challenge Usain Bolt in the final metres of the 100!
Anyone done anything newsworthy this week? I need to keep my unbroken run of Benfleet performances in the paper every week since February....
I am sure I can think of something...
Terry T and Mo did ask if I could report that they both had a really good training session recently....
And I think I have started a theme that Benfleet runners are all directionally challenged after both Colin and Jez going off course. I should have a field day with the Essex Way Relay!! |

Debbie,
If all else fails you could report on the imminent birth of some quality labrador puppies. Both parents fully vetted and hip scored etc

Debbie,
Well, suffice to say that the mum can outrun me round Hockley Woods and still be ready for more at then end of 2 - 3 miles. Mind you, most people can do that anyway.
