For those whose are interested, a biography has been published about the legendary Joss Naylor.

The books are only available in the Lake District but can be bought via mail order.  More info here
http://rivergretawriter.co.uk/?c=books&a=joss

Don't know who Joss Naylor is?  http://www.independent.co.uk/arts...-legend-of-iron-joss-1336177.html

Or read "Feet in the Clouds"

Bought my book whilst competing in the Fell Relays up in the Lakes at the weekend.  Signed by the man himself and the author  cheers

Mark

I think you mean "Joss Naylor MBE was here"  Wink *

My bookshelf is groaning with the number fell running books.  You should have a read of Running High by Hugh Symonds.  About the first continuous traverse of the 303 mountains in Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland!!

Haven't got Studmarks on the Summit though, although I know where I can get my hands on a copy......

I had a chat with Joss a few weeks ago when I ran past his house.  He was outside, painting the windows, so I had to stop.  I was there for nearly two hours chewing the cud with him!!  It seemed very bizarre when he was talking about some of his adventures having read about the accounts in various publications.

* (What's happened with the standard smileys, Karl?????)
