With London marathon on the horizon I know a lot of runners will be raising money for their chosen charities. I was running with Colin on Tuesday night and he told me about his. It certainly moved me and I asked him if he wanted me to post it on the forum. He said go for it
For those that don’t know Colin won his age category in the Mallorca Marathon in December in a fantastic time of 2:57 at the tender age of 54. The Monday after Colin’s 25 year old son who suffered epilepsy tragically died in the night as a result of a fit. Running has been his channel for his grief and frustration and he’s running London in his memory http://www.justgiving.com/running-for-grant. If you can help him reach his target I know he’d be grateful for any donations.

Graham has left a fullstop on the end. Something that thanks to Karl pointing out to me thousands of times I now no longer do....great cause. all the best
my night runs here really can be called Bat runs....but wearing garlic helps _________________ 'sometimes I am running so fast it appears that rocks and trees are standing still......' 'I may be slow, but you are ugly and I can train harder.' '90% is mental, the other half is physical'it's going to get a lot worse, before it gets worse'. |

Just thought I'd make it clear this isn't one of my pieces in the Echo it's all Colin's work.

And thanks Colin for the run tonight and your company. I'm always proud to hang onto you even if you are running easy!
This is a brilliant cause and one close to home please help support Colin's charity he's raised an amazing £1300 already. |

Colin told me tonight that he has raised in total an amazing £3,356 for Epilepsy Bereaved. He really appreciates the donations from members of the club.
Colin you have done Grant proud you ran an awesome marathon in his memory and have raised an outstanding amount of money.
I for one am really proud of you xx
