Well I did it and it was excellent
Mike Grout Benfleet RC swim 11:00 bike 24:39 run 17:00 total 52:39
full results here http://www.born2tri.co.uk/uploade...don%20XC%20Tri%20open%20event.pdf
All went reasonabley smooth .. apart from being a bit of a shock to the system.
Definately room to trim the swim time by mastering the overtake and lane changing .. oh and learning to swim properly
Only hitch was in T1 I'd rolled my cycle top so I could just poke my arms through and roll it down, a la french letter, but being a complete numty I rolled it inside out so it was all rolled up under my arms. Gave myself massive cramp in the arm trying to get it unstuck!!
Had a bit of a calf twinge as I got to T2 but it passed thankfully.
Quite happy with the run considering that's only my third run since Paris.
As a newbie this was an excellent race, well organised and marshalled.
right then ... what's next? |
